have you ever seen this spam for fake antivirus:

i believe you should go buy webroot spy sweeper with anti virus from circuit city it takes off spyware and viruses
I had a trojan called Entry.dll which is a MediaPipe malware.
If you use Firefox, then if you close it you’re safe. But if you use Internet Explorer…

I use IE, but wen the thing opened itself, it said it needed an active x control. Strangely, it didnt install itself, and i was able to close the program. It never appeared again, and I got no false warnings.
there are more programs that infect ur computer than protect ur computer
wow one time i got the nastiest virus ever my desktop even changed black and had the WARNING! your computer is infected on the bottom right corner then i got a message saying Windows will now download a good antivirus/antispyware program, it downloaded bravesentry onto my computer good thing i know how to handle viruses, do a system sweep and re-install ur windows xp or w/e u have back onto your computer, always works for me even when i had a virus that cut out my internet so norton wouldnt work
webroot spy sweeper is a good anti-spyware i buy it and i think is the best

Bet you never had the bloodhound virus. Worst. Virus. Ever. It makes the BSOD WITH YELLOW TEXT.
i got one that changed the desktop to a message that said the same thing, cept it misspelled infected
i forgot i was watching the part with good antivirus software and so i almost flipped out when you said zone alarm (lol)
