So looking for good computer security not Norton, that is good for non mac computers?
what would the best anti virus be to go with?
its not for my computer as I got a mac but my parents are using windows XP and vista so for those what would the best be.

Ok i have windows xp sp2, i managed to get rid of my auto updates by typing in run ‘services.msc’ but ive got another red shield in my tray that says i should install 4 or 5 different types of programs now i have installed them all and they were all demos…taking me to a website that says i must pay 90 for each of their products, obviously i dont have this type of money therefore i uninstalled them all frm add/remove programs and recycling bin etc and restarted, everytime i turn my pc on it pops up and there is a yellow bar at the top of every internet page i us which says ‘ advanced XP defender : Advanced xp defender is a powerful mix of anti-malware, anti -virus, anti-trojan etc etc…also wen i use internet explorer and try to click on a link if i dont hold down ctrl it takes me to different pages to try and make me download products..now i dnt have viruses either as i onl reformatted and restarted windows less than 48 hours ago…could someone please tell me how to remove this?

That was AVG anti-virus. This was out of date and i fixed it. My computer still says it has that other thing to go to. I can not get on the iternet. Can anyone help me.

I am unsure on how to get rid of a virus on my computer. It wont let me start and run norton internet security and anti virus or wont let me connect to the internet, even though I know that the internet works. I went into safe mode and it let me connect to the internet and use Norton. Any ideas?
