it didn’t as good as i expected. however, like you said it isn’t supposed to replace your antivirus. also, if you let it sit for a while, it will eventually detect much more, at least it did in my test. it sucks that it can’t get it immediately and that defeats the purpose of real tim
3rd comment of alot of peeps who wacth this (:
“Find out what damage your PC health” It can’t even use proper grammar, what a shit program.
What would you recommend to run along side an anti-virus (other than MBAM, which I have)?
Would have been good if you ran a scan with the reviewed program. I suspect many things would have been scanned and found by the cloud. I recommend this program for what it is. A free optimization software and cleaner. Good security section shows possible vulnerabilities in sharing, missed updates etc. It works well imo. The AV seems like just a little addon to the program which is nice to have. It should never be used as a main AV/security software. They already have another product for that.Ty
@Pokerwaffle This was a prevention test. They market it as a second opinion scanner. I do separate videos for detection and removal. If they did not market the anti-malware portion of the program I would not have been as harsh on it.
Chinese junk
@rebalalliance712 You could give Immunet a try. I actually need to give that another go so hold that thought. . . .
instead of opening task manager to see your processes use kill switch all the time instead of some of the time
Odd that Kingsoft gave you no alerts. On Languy99′s review, it did very well. As everyone else said, its cloud application takes time to pick things up. I use this along with MBAM Pro and Webroot Secureanywhere Antivirus. This program has a little Winpatrol mixed in, too. It has picked things up that other programs miss-glad to have it.
@ilovemycomputer2 Yeah I was thinking about that.
@shorty6100 It is extremely slow for a cloud based product. The malware had already infected the machine and it easily bypassed it. If you want to use it, great, but I feel that if you have to wait a long time for your security app to respond, there is problem.
Too bad Nick was feeling like himself as of late. I really do enjoy his angry rants on bad review results. I know what I’ll do……where is that IObit Malware Fighter review…….:)
You are absolutely right; that is why I use it alongside, not standalone. On a side note, I love watching your reviews. You unintentionally make me laugh with your reactions. You wear your emotions on your sleeve. Looking forward to your next review!
@shorty6100 I was just letting you know that I don’t feel it would do much for you in terms of malware detection. I think it would just waste RAM but that is your choice if you want to run it.
